Reja: 'Lazio dips must not happen'

Edy Reja warns Lazio to “set aside the fear and no longer have dips in concentration” as they take on Udinese.

This Serie A encounter kicks off at the Stadio Friuli at 11.30 GMT on Sunday, click here for a match preview.

“I saw some small progress and hope we can continue along that path,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“I expect a better performance compared to our recent outings, where we had a dip in concentration and in fitness levels. That must not happen again. We must set aside the fear and no longer have these dips in concentration.

“I’d also like to see improvement in terms of football and character. We are a work in progress and above all there are many young players behind the old guard. I expect a lot more from them over the next six months, especially Eddy Onazi, Felipe Anderson and Keita Balde.”

Stefan Radu, Abdoulay Konko and Alvaro Gonzalez have not made the trip due to injury, while Cristian Ledesma is suspended.

Transfer gossip continues to link Hernanes with a move away from Lazio, as Inter are among those interested.

“Hernanes is fine and just has to focus on playing,” added Reja.

Lazio squad for Udinese: Marchetti, Berisha, Strakosha; Biava, Dias, Ciani, Vinicius, Cavanda, Cana, Elez; Onazi, Ederson, Candreva, Lulic, Hernanes, Biglia, Felipe Anderson, Crecco; Floccari, Klose, Perea, Keita
