President Albano Guaraldi reveals Alessandro Diamanti “is continuing to pressure” Bologna for a move to Guangzhou Evergrande.
The Chinese transfer window remains open and, although Bologna closed negotiations with the club, there is still a chance for the move to go through.
“Diamanti’s motivation is justified. The player is continuing to pressure us, just as the Chinese club is pressuring us,” Guaraldi told tuttobologna.web.
“I too have doubts, as I wonder if an unmotivated player can truly give his all.”
There is growing tension at Bologna with protests from the fans calling for Guaraldi to sell up.
“It is ridiculous to say my two years of Presidency were the worst of the club’s history. In fact, since I have been here, wages have always been paid on time.
“Systematically it is reported the club is about to fail, even though our balance sheet is fine. I promised that I wouldn’t sell anyone and I haven’t. In fact, there is a player who wants to leave and I am resisting.”
