Diego Milito has been reminiscing about Inter’s Treble-winning season, admitting he will never forget that campaign.
The Argentine striker has found it difficult to break into the Nerazzurri team this term, still recovering from a cruciate ligament injury he suffered last year.
And in an interview with Four Two Four Two, the goalscorer has gone back to the Champions League final in 2010 where he netted both goals in a win over Bayern Munich.
“That match in Madrid goes beyond words,” he said. “It was a joy that I couldn’t and still can’t describe.
“I’ll never forget that moment, especially when I scored those goals – it was at that point that I realised anything in life was possible.
“Mourinho? He gave me the chance to play at the highest level, with a team of great quality.
“After that year, something went wrong, but I desperately want to get back to playing in a European competition.”
