Francesco Totti says Roma are full of belief that they can win the Scudetto next season, despite conceding the title race is 99 per cent over this term.
The 37-year-old scored on his comeback from injury against Udinese last night and is also still hopeful of making Cesare Prandelli’s World Cup squad this summer.
“The Scudetto? It’s a real long shot now,” Totti said to Il Romanista. “It’s 99 per cent gone.
“But next year we believe we can win it, though to do that no one can leave, including Rudi Garcia.
“I hope that Pjanic can stay, he is a player of great quality.
“We dedicated our victory yesterday to Strootman with all our hearts, he deserves it.
“We are a very united group, like the one in 2001 when we won the Scudetto.
“I would take Cassano to the World Cup.
“Alongside myself? If I am fit and well, why not?”
