Federico Balzaretti has returned to Rome after tests in America and indicated that he has yet to fully resolve his injury issues.
The full-back flew out to the US last weekend to consult specialists on his continued recovery from surgery undergone in January on a hernia in his left groin.
Arriving back in the Italian capital this week, the 32-year-old has commented that uncertainty still surrounds his condition.
“I’m the same as before, neither better nor worse,” Balzaretti is quoted by Il Tempo as saying at Fiumicino airport.
“There are no dates set yet, and I do not know when I will return.”
