Milan assistant manager Mauro Tassotti said Clarence Seedorf needs “time to find his path” ahead of the Fiorentina clash.
It kicks off at 19.45 GMT, click here for the line-ups.
“The objective is to put in a good performance, bring home some points and do as best as we possibly can,” Tassotti told Sky Sport Italia.
“This season started badly, so when there are big expectations and things go like that it’s tough to get the situation back on track.”
Coach Seedorf is already under fire with reports he could be sacked before the end of the campaign, handing the job to Tassotti on a temporary basis.
“Seedorf hasn’t been a Coach for long, so he needs time to find his path. Nobody has experience the moment they begin a profession, even if he has played football for a long time.
“Is a change of management possible? I am not the one who has to make these considerations. We have a game to play.”
