Udinese Coach Francesco Guidolin is pleased that his team have finally secured safety, following their win over Catania.

The tactician however admitted that the Elefanti were unfortunate to lose the match and that his side had not recovered well physically from their last game.

“I am pleased even though we are a little late in securing our safety compared to in other years,” Guidolin reflected to Sky Sport.

“We are undoubtedly pleased with safety, but a little less happy with how we played tonight.

“We haven’t recovered well physically from the match with Inter. To be honest Catania didn’t deserve to lose even though we were good in the second half.

“I made four changes to the team but we really suffered in the first half.

“From tomorrow we will think about Fiorentina and then it’s on to Juventus. We will now be able to play with more freedom.”
