Erick Thohir and Walter Mazzarri are yet to set a date to meet over the Coach’s Inter future, although speculation over intentions continues.
The tactician has a further year to his contract with the Nerazzurri, but is set for talks with the President to determine if he will continue into next season and beyond, to align with the club’s intended project.
Whilst Thohir has once more reiterated this week his faith in Mazzarri staying with the club, the Gazzetta dello Sport report that his visit this weekend to Italy came without specifically discussing with the technician his future, nor setting a date for when such a meeting will occur.
However, the pink paper report that Mazzarri will discuss elements of the club’s technical intentions for the future with director general Mauro Fassone and technical director Piero Ausilio during the middle of this week.
This duo are seen as in line with Thohir’s own ambitions, which apparently include improve Inter’s quality of play and placing Mateo Kovacic at the centre of the team.
At the same time, though, Mazzarri is seen as looking for guarantees in moving forward, including clearly stated objectives and reinforcements this summer for the wing and front-line.
