Novara have sacked both their Coach and sporting director after losing the first leg of their Serie B relegation play-out.
The Piedmont club were beaten 2-0 at home by Varese last night and will be demoted to Lega Pro next week should they fail to overturn the deficit in the return match.
However, it was announced today that Coach Alfredo Aglietti will not be given the opportunity to make amends for yesterday’s defeat. He has been replaced by Giacomo Gattuso, who will instead preside over next Friday’s attempts to stage a comeback.
Sporting director Fabrizio Larini has also been axed, though a replacement for him has not yet been named.
