Enrico Preziosi and Adriano Galliani had dinner this week, reportedly to discuss Alessandro Matri and Sime Vrsaljko.
Il Secolo XIX have led assertions today that the Genoa President dined with the Milan Vice-President on Tuesday evening this week and Sky Sport Italia have since ratified this story.
Speculation is that the subject of their meeting was a proposed offer from the Grifone to take Alessandro Matri on loan for the 2014-15 campaign, with a view to a purchase option also being included.
The Rossoneri paid out €11m on the forward last summer, but after six difficult months sent him out to Fiorentina for the second half of last season, from where he has now returned.
It is understood that Galliani and Preziosi also took this week’s meeting as an opportunity to discuss Milan’s apparent interest in Genoa full-back Sime Vrsajko.
However, the San Siro outfit are seen as still facing competition from Fiorentina, Juventus and Sassuole for the Croatia international.
