Fiorentina’s Mario Gomez is hoping for a great season to make up for his frustrating first campaign at Artemio Franchi.
The German forward missed the majority of the year with knee ligament damage, making just nine Serie A appearances and scoring three goals.
“Am I in shape? I am always in shape when I’m on holiday!” Gomez told reporters at the unveiling of the Viola’s new shirts. “Now I want to have a great season.
“Now we need to work and we will in order to do the best we can for this shirt.”
