Shakhtar Donetsk have set Douglas Costa’s asking price at €26m, with Milan thought to be one of several sides interested.

The Brazilian playmaker joined the Ukrainian team in 2010 and has gone on to play over 100 League games.

But with war raging in the Crimean region of the country, several of the team’s South American contingent have refused to travel back to their training base after a friendly in France.

The squad members deem it to be too dangerous to travel back to Ukraine, and want to force moves away from the Donbass Arena.

Shakhtar were initially steadfast in their refusal to sell Costa and others, but Sport Mediaset believe that they can be persuaded to part with the 23-year-old for a fee of €26m.

The Rossoneri are just one of the clubs thought to be looking at the trequartista, but could be priced out of the market, with Manchester United also rumoured to be interested.
