Sampdoria have officially sold German World Cup winner Shkodran Mustafi to Valencia.
The deal had been in the air and was formalised this evening by a statement on the Spanish club website.
Mustafi signed a five-year contract tying him to Valencia until June 30 2019.
Although no transfer fee was confirmed, it’s believed the defender cost €10m.
It has been a remarkable few months for the 22-year-old, who was a surprise inclusion in the Germany squad that ended up winning the World Cup.
Mustafi will complete his medical tests on Thursday before being presented to the media tomorrow morning.
