Fabrizio Ravanelli wants new Italy Coach Antonio Conte to be given free rein on all footballing decisions.
The former Juventus boss has signed a two-year contract to become the new CT, with official confirmation from the FIGC imminent.
“I really think so, he’s the right man,” Ravanelli, who played alongside Conte both at the Old Lady and for Italy, told Tuttomercatoweb.com.
“He has shown he is the best in Italy and one of the best in Europe.
“This is a dark moment and he is the best choice possible, I am certain about that.
“Antonio Conte is the best for whoever loves football, there is no one better for anyone who supports the Nazionale.
“Absolutely yes, he has to have free rein on everything to give him the chance to rebuild everything, as he did with the plan he brought to Juventus.”
