Sky are reporting that Atletico Madrid have raised their offer for Torino’s Alessio Cerci to €14m, but it has been turned down.
The Rojiblancos’ rival suitors for the player, Milan, were yesterday said to have tabled an offer of €12m for the Italy international and are expected to continue negotiating with Toro over a possible deal.
Now, it appears that the Spanish champions will have to do the same if they are to prize the 27-year-old away from Stadio Olimpico.
Last night, Cerci appeared to have tweeted that he had reached an agreement to join Diego Simeone’s team, but later confirmed his official account had been hacked into.
