The goalkeeper thought he had scored the equaliser late on, but his header was disallowed for no clear reason.
“We will have the whole San Mames behind us to cheer on Athletic and we hope it can be a night to remember.”
If the tie ends 1-1, it will go to extra time and maybe even penalties to decide who goes into the Champions League group phase, as away goals are crucial.
