“Sassuolo are a team with great quality in attack, so we wanted to be sure that we didn’t allow them too many chances and we achieved that, even if we were lacking in other areas,” Colantuono told Sky Sport Italia.
“In the second half we went a bit too deep, so I changed the system. We need to get players like Cigarini back, as he dictates the tempo and moves the ball around so well in midfield.
“Maxi Moralez has always worked hard for the team and did well today, while Baselli improved as time went on.
“The goal is the essence of this sport and that is the only thing that counts, so we are working towards improving our scoring record.”
