Former Lazio and Charlton defender Mark Fish is recovering after suffering a heart scare on Sunday.
The South African website Netwerk24 have reported that Fish is now out of danger, after suffering strong pains to his chest and his back on Sunday morning.
“On the way [to the hospital] I stopped breathing. I don’t remember any of that. My daughter said there were angels around me, then she said: 'You'll be fine daddy',” Fish has commented since to media.

“I’ve had an angiogram and some other tests, tubes and dye and things like that.
“The doctors are saying my heart’s fine. They said I've got fantastic lungs, but told me to stop smoking. I bet they’ll say the same to you! They can’t find anything wrong, nothing.”
Fish was one of the players who triumphed with hosts South Africa when they lifted the 1996 African Cup of Nations.
The retired defender then joined Lazio, where he scored one goal – against Verona – in 15 appearances, before moving to England where he featured for Bolton, Charlton and Ipswich.
