Verona Coach Andrea Mandorlini said his team “can play so much better” than in their 2-1 defeat to Sassuolo.

Hellas had taken the lead at the Mapei Stadium through Vangelis Moras, but fumbled the advantage and extended their winless streak to seven rounds.

“We started off well and in first half wasted many decisive opportunities by not being focused enough,” Mandorlini told Sky Sport Italia.

“We then didn’t play the ball enough and allowed Sassuolo back into the game. This season we are the ones suffering.

“There have been games in which we fought back to get results, but considering our tally thus far, it’s only normal we have to start looking over our shoulder.

“We are lacking sharpness at the moment and can play so much better than this.”
