Eusebio Di Francesco was “angry” at his “naive” Sassuolo for conceding a last-gasp equaliser from Cesena.

The Neroverdi had been leading 1-0 through a very soft Simone Zaza penalty before Ze Eduardo nodded in during stoppages for a 1-1 draw.

“It is becoming unfortunately a recurring problem of conceding late goals. We were distracted during decisive moments of the game and should’ve done better. We were naive,” Coach Di Francesco told Sky Sport Italia.

“Everyone says we have some great strikers, but they are also young and need to grow. We must make more of the numerous chances we create.

“I end 2014 angry, because this was a game we were about to win despite playing only 20-25 minutes well.

“I didn’t see the team as sharp as usual. For the rest of the campaign I can be satisfied, but the fact remains we could’ve had more points. We had been solid lately, but are now conceding too easily, especially on set plays.”
