Roma midfielder Seydou Keita has been banned for one game and fined for his actions in last night’s defeat to Sampdoria.

The former Barcelona man was dismissed in the 2-0 defeat, after picking up a second yellow card for sarcastically applauding his first booking.

The Lega Serie A has taken a dim view of the incident, with a €1,500 fine on top of the customary one game ban for two yellow cards because of his “sarcastic applause to the referee”.

Iago Falque of Genoa is also suspended for one game having picked up a fourth booking, and has also been fined €2,500 for diving, as the Spaniard had been warned previously.

Also crossing the disciplinary threshold after being booked in Week 27 are Napoli pair Raul Albiol and Faouzi Ghoulam, Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, Roma’s Miralem Pjanic, Genoa’s Tomas Rincon, Antonio Balzano of Cagliari and Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Badu.

Parma will be without Jose Mauri and Massimo Gobbi after they picked up a fourth booking of the season, while Verona’s Juan Gomez and Preparim Hetemaj of Chievo are also suspended for the same offence.
