“It’s an important game against Chievo and by no means an easy one, as they close down the spaces well. We are well prepared and want to turn over a new leaf after the defeat to Juventus.

“We are getting good results thanks to the work we’ve done since the start of the season. Tomorrow’s line-up will be competitive and we want to get back to winning ways, not thinking about absentees.

“We need sharp minds and patience as well as the usual Lazio spirit to get the better of Chievo. We have a great deal of respect for them.

“It’s important to move the ball around quickly and create spaces to hit them. We are more motivated and ought to be more determined, especially on home turf.

“The race for a Champions League spot is still wide open, so we require humility and concentration. We’ll see where we are on May 31.

“The important thing is to watch only our own progress and take it one game at a time. Ignore what the others are doing.”
