“Despite injuries, this team was competitive and should’ve won today. We are still in construction and hopefully we can learn from this experience, as we didn’t bring the points home due to distraction and lack of consistency.

“I believe our campaign will only be decided on May 31. It’s all very tight up there and if we are up in second place, it means we are doing very well indeed.

“We wanted to win today and must learn to take certain opportunities with more determination. Our opponents aren’t just going to sit there and give us the points. We need to go our there and take them.

“Miroslav Klose was in doubt to start because he had a muscular problem and he asked to be substituted. It’s a bad week, because we go into three games in seven days with a lot of injuries to deal with simultaneously.

“We want to be ambitious and need to get used to the pressure. Every Serie A game is difficult and we did so much right today.”
