The Atalanta striker netted a spectacular strike in last night’s 2-2 draw with Cesena, his third overhead kick of the season.

“Scoring a goal like that is the dream of all kids and I am happy to do something people usually only see in cartoons,” grinned Chile international Pinilla.

“It is an instinctive gesture and you have to be a little crazy to do that. Mind you, I’ve been practicing these since childhood and I’m glad they are coming off right now when the team needs points.

“If you hit it right, the shot is very powerful and the goalkeepers don’t expect it, so they are not easy to save.

“All three of my overhead kicks were beautiful this season, but the one against Cesena was certainly the most important because it earned a precious point.

“I think the one against Torino was the most difficult to score.”
