Inter are reportedly progressing towards deals for Paris Saint-Germain’s Thiago Motta and Stevan Jovetic of Manchester City.

Former Nerazzurri midifielder Motta has been strongly linked with a return to San Siro, while Montenegro international Jovetic is believed to want a return to Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport believes that Motta’s future is dependent on how discussions progress with PSG over a new contract.

The newspaper writes that if the club offer the 32-year-old a deal close to the €5.5m per season given to Javier Pastore, he is likely to renew.

If not, then the Italy international could be set for a return to the Nerazzurri, although with a different sum.

Inter are also looking to strengthen their attack and Gazzetta believes that Jovetic has asked to leave Man City and that an offer could be made for a loan with the option to buy.

The paper believes that the alternatives to Motta are Felipe Melo of Galatasaray, Barcelona’s Alex Song, Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva  and Geoffrey Kondogbia of Monaco.

The latter is supposedly Coach Roberto Mancini’s preferred choice and a meeting between the club and Kondogbia’s agent yesterday reportedly lowered the player’s asking price from €40m to €25m.

The Nerazzurri are also seen as interested in Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but his valuation of €40m is considered too high.
