Jackson Martinez is “very close to concluding a deal with Milan and hopes to give the announcement tomorrow.”
The Rossoneri appear to have beaten Arsenal, Valencia and Manchester City to the Colombian international striker.
They are prepared to pay his €35m buy-out clause to take him away from Porto.
“We’re there now,” his agent Luiz Henrique Pompeo told Calciomercato.com this evening.
“We are very close to concluding a deal with Milan and there’s a very good chance it will be finalised.
“We hope to give the announcement tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. He’d make up a dream partnership with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.”
Milan are spending big on the transfer market this summer after years of austerity thanks to the influx of new cash from Thai investor Bee Taechaubol.
Mr Bee agreed to buy out 48 per cent of the club from President Silvio Berlusconi for a reported €500m.
