“You might think of a team a certain way on paper, but on the field that isn’t the case,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“Frosinone are in Serie A because they deserve to be here. They took a point off Juventus and deserved more with Lazio. They are maturing and growing into their top flight status. They can play long or short when attacking and have a lot of pace.
“We must respect our opponents by playing with our usual principles of football. Only if all our players get into the game can we reach victory. On paper we might be superior, but the result must be earned on the pitch.
“That means intensity and concentration must always be at the top to reduce the risk of errors.”
The Viola are joint second in the table with Napoli and Inter, just two points off leaders Roma, so are they targeting a Champions League spot?
“I am very happy that this is the mood in the city, because it means people believe in us and trust we can compete in any arena. This is the mentality I want for my players, to reach the level of this wonderful city via our performances on the field. We must work with passion, because in the long-run it brings important results.”
