Serie B side Como have fired Coach Carlo Sabatini after remaining rooted to the foot of the table.
The club announced its decision “with great sadness” after seven points in the opening 11 rounds.
“This is a very sad day for me, because only a few months ago we were celebrating promotion,” Sabatini told reporters.
“I could not have done more. I accept the decision of the club, as unfortunately the table speaks clearly. When you’re in last place, it’s a normal reaction.
