“The approach to the game was good,” he said after the match. “We lost a ball when coming out of our own half and we were left in a difficult two-against-three situation, that's why we took a goal.
“Our game still has to improve, but let's see things in a positive light.
“We're seventh, nobody expected this position at the beginning of the championship but we've had two victories in a row and a positive result in the Champions League. We can't just focus on the negatives.
“[Mario] Mandzukic? He did well, he put himself in the team's service. But the whole team did well, like [Claudio] Marchisio, who is coming back. [Sami] Khedira played even though he wasn't in top condition.
“As always in football, you must not become hysterical and lose your nerve, even when the moment is difficult. Tonight the lads did well because they stayed calm after taking a goal.”
Allegri was then asked if he thought that Captain Gianluigi Buffon's harsh words to the team after the 1-0 defeat to Sassuolo had helped them get back on track.
“Yes, these are the moments when thoughts are turned into words. It's normal that Buffon, who has such a sense of responsibility towards himself and the others, should speak in a certain way.
“But after that we have to take to the pitch and avoid taking victory for granted just because we're Juventus. We must all keep our feet on the ground and win with humility.
“Football is strange, Inter won seven games by 1-0 and we keep taking a goal as soon as somebody shoots.
“Our third goal was on offside? They told me that, yes. It happens. On the whole I think the refereeing was good.”
