The Blucerchiati fired their Coach this morning after several days of speculation over his future and Vincenzo Montella is the favourite to take over.

“I do not feel betrayed,” former Samp goalkeeper Zenga told news agency Ansa.

“I am happy to have had the opportunity to train a club that I was already tied to as a player.

“The role of Coach means being up for debate continually. It’s part of the game. I leave the team in an excellent position, just two points off Juventus.

“In any case, I thank all those who were close to me and the President for giving me this opportunity.”
