“We are working on it and would like to keep Szczesny, but knowing Arsenal it will be difficult to achieve that,” director of sport Sabatini told reporters today.
“In any case, Roma are already covered in that role for next season. Who did we get? I will never tell you that!”
The Giallorossi had been heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain’s Italy international Salvatore Sirigu before opting for Szczesny.
The arrival of Kevin Trapp means Sirigu has been bumped down to second choice at PSG.
