Il Messaggero has reported today that the former Juventus Coach has chosen 14 ‘certainties’ who will be part of the squad for next summer’s tournament.
Some established stars are absent from the list, such as Pirlo, De Rossi, Insigne and Riccardo Montolivo, although the newspaper believes that the other nine places are still up for grabs.
The 14 believed to be guaranteed a spot on the plane are:
Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon, Mattia Perin
Defenders: Matteo Darmian, Mattia De Sciglio, Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini
Midfielders: Alessandro Florenzi, Antonio Candreva, Claudio Marchisio, Marco Verratti, Marco Parolo
Forwards: Eder, Graziano Pellè.
