A brawl reportedly erupted in Carpi training between Raphael Martinho and the goalkeeping coach.
The bizarre situation occurred during Thursday’s game between ranks, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
It’s claimed Martinho scored a goal in the training session and was then attacked by goalkeeping coach Roberto Perrone.
Insults and fists flew, then club manager Matteo Scala intervened initially to calm the situation down, but then reports suggest he sparked the fight back into life.

Eventually players had to pull everyone aside to avoid further distress.
The cause of the problem is the clear split within the club following the dismissal and recall of Coach Fabrizio Castori.
The tactician was sacked in October and brought back a month later when Giuseppe Sannino failed to make an impact.
With Sannino went director of sport Sean Sogliano, who had made the decision to axe Castori.
Forward Martinho is believed to be in the Sannino-Sogliano camp.
Carpi patron Stefano Bonacini was asked about the incident by the Gazzetta.
“There is no controversy and even if there was it’s all over now. These things can happen within any team.”
