Juan Manuel Iturbe is currently undergoing his medical with Bournemouth after beating Watford’s offer for the Roma striker.

A deal with Watford had essentially been done to go on loan for €1.5m with an option to buy for €18m.

However, last night the Cherries came in with a new proposal of €2m for the six-month spell and an option for €22m at the end of the season for a total £17.7m.

They also doubled Iturbe’s current wages at Roma of €1.5m per year – which would’ve been matched by Watford – raising it to €2.3m net plus €700,000 bonuses.

Now every Italian source, including Sky Sport Italia, confirm Iturbe is undergoing a medical at Bournemouth today and will complete the transfer on Wednesday.

The details have been worked out and only the paperwork now needs to be exchanged.

Roma paid €25m to sign Iturbe from Watford in 2014 and the deal with Bournemouth would essentially recoup that money.

There are even reports Iturbe will be given his own chauffer, personal translator and flights to South America.
