Udinese Coach Stefano Colantuono believes they will have to approach Carpi as a big team: 'For me they're worth Juventus'.

The Zebrette will visit the newly-promoted team tomorrow at 5:00p.m. UK time and will hope for a win to reduce the gap with their rivals in the European zone.

“If we want to take it to the next level, then we must think of Carpi as equally challenging as one of the top-table teams,” Colantuono said in today's Press conference.

“We mustn't think of league positions but rather approach this as a knock-out game.

“Edenilson's mistake against Atalanta? Mistakes are part of the game, else every match would end 0-0. I talk about these things with the players, not with the Press. I can't crucify Edenilson, strikers make mistakes too, but they're less visible.

“But I think we should continue along these lines, we managed to close the game after 10 minutes in the second half, even though Atalanta's opportunity made us nervous for 15 minutes.

“Carpi are in good condition, else they wouldn't have picked up a draw against Lazio, nor would they have taken a lead against Juventus.

“I know their Coach well. It's a never-say-die team that will give us trouble, especially if we don't approach the match with the right mentality or if we rest on the laurels of our previous games.

“Serie A is a bad customer. These are games that you have no time to prepare on the pitch, because the team was always divided in two blocks over the last two days.

“These games must be prepared mentally and I want to see the new level of quality that we already showed in some of our previous matches.

“Carpi run a great deal and create a lot of pressing. They have some quality players upfront too, like [Marco] Borriello, Matos, [Kevin] Lasagna, [Antonio] Di Gaudio.

“They're a very bothersome team. I don't say that because you must always speak well of your adversary, I say it because it's true.

“The Coppa Italia proved how many surprise results there can be. Nowadays in Italy you can't afford to underestimate any game, much less in Serie A. For me, Carpi are worth Juventus.”
