Federico Bernardeschi and Domenico Berardi are in the Italy Under-21 side to face Ireland and Andorra.

The pair had been tipped for a call-up to Antonio Conte’s senior Azzurri side, but it seems they will instead remain with the youths.

Milan’s 17-year-old goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has also been included, along with his teammate Alessio Romagnoli and Juventus’ Daniele Rugani.

There is also the first call for Federico Di Francesco, the son of Sassuolo Coach Eusebio.
