Andrea Barzagli has been diagnosed with “an overload of his left biceps femoris” after returning from the Italy squad.

The Juventus defender had been called up by Antonio Conte for international friendlies against Spain and Germany.

He was sent home by medical staff with a muscular problem on Monday and underwent tests in Turin today.

Barzagli has been diagnosed with “an overload of his left biceps femoris. The defender’s condition will continue to be monitored closely over the coming days.”
