The Nerazzurri boss spoke at a Press conference today and was asked if January signing Eder risks losing his place for Italy at Euro 2016 due to his poor form.
“I don’t know, you’d have to ask Antonio Conte. Eder knows how to play football, he has the right movements and works very hard.

The Nerazzurri boss spoke at a Press conference today and was asked if January signing Eder risks losing his place for Italy at Euro 2016 due to his poor form.
“I don’t know, you’d have to ask Antonio Conte. Eder knows how to play football, he has the right movements and works very hard.
“He was unlucky to arrive in a difficult moment. He had chances to score, but it’s not a problem, as he’s always got goals in his career. You can’t debate his talent.”
Ex-Sampdoria Coach Walter Zenga claimed Eder scored more regularly because he was fielded in a more advanced position.
“I don’t think Eder was ever a centre-forward who could deliver 25 goals per season, as he has other qualities and works very hard,” replied Mancini.
“At times he arrives in front of goal without the necessary sharpness because of fatigue, but he can guarantee 12-15 goals as a second striker.
“It’s not easy to play at Inter, you need time to settle. We’ve got nothing to reproach him for so far, as with three or four goals he would’ve been perfect. Our evaluation of him doesn’t change.”
Mancini was asked about Inter’s future amid reports big players must be sold if they don’t qualify for the Champions League.
“I don’t know if sales will be necessary, but we are Inter and we must always try to improve the squad. We’ll see what we can do.”
What if President Erick Thohir asked Mancini to choose between Yaya Toure and Ibrahimovic?
“I don’t think he will!” laughed the Coach.
“I am not convinced Ibrahimovic will leave Paris Saint-Germain. His profile is suited to all teams, so I don’t think there’s a club out there that wouldn’t like him.”
