The midfielder’s performances have caught the eye of some of Europe’s biggest clubs and Corriere di Bologna has reported today that a sale is likely.

The report says that the Rossoblu have given a FIFA agent the mandate to sell the player and that he has since contacted Premier League clubs.

Bologna would prefer to sell the youngster to England in order to gain as much from a transfer fee as possible.

The club reportedly want €15-18m for Diawara and are hoping to tie bonuses to a deal linked to any future sale.

Manchester City are believed to be leading the race for the defensive midfielder, as Pep Guardiola had tracked him last summer and is believed to have requested Diawara upon his arrival at the Etihad Stadium.
