Inter Coach Roberto Mancini reportedly wants either Lazio’s Lucas Biglia or Marseille’s Lassana Diarra in his squad for next season.

The Aquile captain has been linked with the Nerazzurri for some time, but he won’t be cheap.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Mancini has decided he needs to sign a playmaker, with Biglia and Diarra being identified as the top two targets.

The Argentina international is Inter’s preference, but Biancocelesti President Claudio Lotito will not waver in his €25m demands for the midfielder.

Another obstacle is that Cesare Prandelli looks set to take over as Coach at the capital club, and he has requested that they retain the services of Biglia and Antonio Candreva for next season.

Marseille’s 31-year-old Diarra could be an easier target, as he has a lower valuation of €8-10m.

However, the report warns that there is competition from top-level clubs for the France international which could complicate a bid.
