Juventus striker Alvaro Morata admits scoring in the Euro 2016 final could change his whole future: 'But that's not my focus'.

The 23-year-old is an object of desire for clubs all over Europe, but he will have a tough job being the protagonist in the all-stars Spain team this summer.

“Clearly, playing a good Euro cup changes the whole scenario,” Morata told AS, in reference to his transfer market uncertainty. “You could be coming from a so-so season, but if you score in the Euro final the whole world looks at you in a new light.

“However, that's not what I'm thinking of. I'm thinking of helping Spain. I'm a central striker and scoring is among my responsibilities. I want it so that my team, my national team, may win.

“Everything else is out of my control. Yes, this could be my greatest opportunity, but it isn't a personal objective, rather a collective one. I'm just one player, and that's assuming that [Coach Vicente] Del Bosque includes me in the 23-man squad.”

Morata's rival in the Roja squad is fellow 23-year-old Aritz Aduriz, who plays for Athletic Bilbao.

“Aduriz is exemplary. I look at him and I tell myself I can only learn from him. I ask him many questions because I want to learn from his experience, from his technique on the pitch.

“In truth Aduriz is spectacular for the way he works on the pitch and in training. Playing alongside a striker like him is really important for me.”

Finally, the Bianconero was asked to list the strikers that he admired and appreciated the most.

“That would be my childhood models, that is to say, [Fernando] Morientes and Raul above all others. But I want to learn from all of the best. When I'm in the hotel and I have time, I watch videos from all of the legendary strikers.

“Among the contemporary ones, I like [Robert] Lewandowski. He's among the best alongside [Karim] Benzema. This year I swapped shirts with him, and I'm proud of that.

“I also like Luis Suarez and [Gonzalo] Higuain.

“The Champions League final at San Siro? I was very anxious but also very happy for Real Madrid, as I am their supporter. But I was also very sorry for Koke and Saul, who are friends of mine ever since we were children.”
