Roma have confirmed that Antonio Rüdiger ruptured his cruciate ligament, and will have surgery tomorrow.

The defender left the Germany camp ahead of Euro 2016 after suffering an injury in training, and it was immediately feared that he had a serious knee injury.

“Antonio Rudiger has today undergone an MRI scan which confirmed the rupture of his anterior cruciate ligament,” the Giallorossi announced on their official website.

“His prognosis will be determined after he undergoes surgery tomorrow.”
