The Delfini secured their place in Serie A by beating Trapani in the play-off final last night.

“I said it after that game and I confirm it today, my desire is to stay at Pescara,” Oddo said at a celebratory event.

“We earned Serie A and I am holding on tight to this bench, but only as long as the club doesn’t sell everyone. I think the President remembers the mistakes made a few years ago, as Serie A is not Serie B, so we must build on these foundations to form a squad capable of having its say in the top flight.

“I barely slept last night, as I still can’t quite believe what we did. It wasn’t easy to play two consecutive play-off finals, but we achieved it with a young team and players who really exploded on to the scene this season.”

Pescara do look set to sell top scorer Gianluca Lapadula, who found the net 30 times this term between regular season and play-offs.
