Enzo Scifo warns “Italy will cause Belgium problems” in Lyon tomorrow evening.

The former Red Devils star has Sicilian parents, but opted to play for the country of his birth.

“Italy-Belgium is certainly a special game for me, but I feel 100 per cent Belgian,” Scifo told news agency ANSA.

“Up until 1984 I cheered on the Azzurri colours, but after choosing to play for the Red Devils, Italy became – in football terms – an opponent for me.”

Belgium are among the favourites for Euro 2016 and are in Group E along with Italy, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.

“This is the right moment for Belgium to prove the strength of our squad, even if it’s not good to start out with Italy. They will cause us problems and it certainly won’t be a walk in the park.

“Belgium are going to have to be very careful.”
