Albin Ekdal admits Sweden are “worried” about facing Italy at Euro 2016. “They are stronger than we expected.”
The Hamburger SV midfielder has experience in Italy with Cagliari and knows many of these players well.
“Italy are stronger than we expected,” confessed Ekdal in a Press conference ahead of Friday’s clash.
“First we thought Belgium were the best side in the group, but now I have changed my mind. Italy put in a great performance in Lyon.

“They seemed very concentrated and disciplined, above all in defence. I am worried, as a very difficult match awaits us.”
Sweden opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw, thanks to a Republic of Ireland own goal.
“We need a completely different Sweden to the one seen against Ireland if we are to get a result on Friday.”
