The 26-year-old former Inter right-back has been in Germany since 2013 at Bayer Leverkusen and then FSV Mainz.
“Naples is so beautiful, it’d be wonderful to play for Napoli and we’ll see how negotiations go,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“In football terms, the Partenopei’s history speaks for itself. The passion of the Napoli fans is extraordinary.”
