Carlos Bacca celebrated his hat-trick against Torino and revealed why he turned down West Ham. “I want to bring Milan back to Europe.”
The Colombian netted three in tonight’s thrilling 3-2 victory at San Siro, including a penalty.
“My son wanted the match ball and I’d promised to score him a hat-trick eventually, so I wanted to take the penalty and do it for him,” Bacca told Sky Sport Italia.
How close was he to leaving the Rossoneri this summer when West Ham presented a €30m offer.
“When the intermediary presented the offer, I consulted with my family and decided to stay. It was the right thing for me to do.
“I wanted to remain because I promised I’d take Milan back into Europe.”
