The midfielder activated his release clause to quit Roma for their Serie A rivals.

“Roma probably needed to sell me for financial reasons, but my desire was always to join Juve,” the Bosnian told vecernji.ba while on international duty.

“I wanted a change of scenery and to try something new after five wonderful years with the Giallorossi. Now I am at Juve and hope to win a great deal at this club that wanted me so much.

“Max Allegri is an excellent Coach. I have a good rapport with him. At Juventus we mainly focus on training the physical aspect of a player, which is why we didn’t want to risk using me in Serie A when I had a knock. I’ll certainly make my debut after the break.

“We want to improve what we did last year in the Champions League. We want to get through the group and then anything could happen. We won’t set limits.

Napoli, Roma, Milan and Inter will fight for the Scudetto with us. Roma haven’t changed much, but they remain a strong side.”
