The Partenopei begin their European campaign and it is the absolute Champions League debut for Coach Maurizio Sarri.

Milik is picked ahead of Manolo Gabbiadini and Mertens gets the nod rather than Lorenzo Insigne.

Mertens and Milik have an excellent rapport on the pitch despite only meeting this summer, already earning the nickname M&Ms.

Nikola Maksimovic and Amadou Diawara are yet to make their first appearances in a Napoli jersey, but are on the bench tonight.

Dynamo Kiev are missing injured Danilo Silva in defence and at the weekend were held to a 1-1 draw at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Coach Serhiy Rebrov has pulled a few surprises, moving left-back Yevhen Makarenko to the right of defence, while Denys Garmash is in midfield.

On the left wing 18-year-old Viktor Tyshankov is given a shock Champions League debut.

Dynamo don’t have a great record in the Champions League, winning just seven of their 37 group stage games so far.

Nonetheless, they reached the Round of 16 last season and were knocked out by Manchester City, 6-2 on aggregate.

That included their first home defeat in Europe since February 2014, a run of 10 games.

Napoli famously picked up 12 points and still crashed out of the competition in the group phase.
