Napoli have announced Raul Albiol has a hamstring strain, and will miss the Atalanta game this weekend.
The centre-back was substituted after just 11 minutes of the Champions League win over Benfica, and was subjected to medical tests this morning.
“Raul Albiol was subjected to clinical examinations after the injury suffered in the Champions League match with Benfica at San Paolo,” the Partenopei announced in a statement on their website.

“MRI and ultrasound has confirmed the first diagnosis, a strain of the left hamstring. Raul has already started treatment.
“His condition will be evaluated over the next week.”
Following this weekend’s matches, club football will stop for an international break, so Albiol has two weeks to recover for the next match with Roma.
